Migration to NEW CIS/LSE Site

Dear SIM Students,

I have migrated the UOL CIS/LSE Community to a new site:
http://sites.google.com/site/uolext

This is to make the site more accessible, and allow content to be more organised and found more easily. Please do not post any more information in this site or the forums anymore. I will not be monitoring this site. See you all at the new site!

Welcome to ISORG Class 2011/12

A warm welcome to SIM students taking the ISORG exam in May 2012. We begin a journey which will hopefully bring you to the pot of gold at the rainbow's end :)

A few things you must do:
1. Register yourself as a member of this site. By doing so, you will be able to ask questions in the Forums.

CIS326: Course Mindmap

I have completed the course Mindmap for CIS326. It is in the Dropbox account. As there are several images that goes along with the mindmap, it is not convenient for me to make it available as a downloadable resource in the website. Please find the folder in your local Dropbox folder as it should have been automatically pushed to you (assuming you installed the Dropbox software on your PC or Macintosh).

You will need to install the latest Freemind software on your PC or Mac. You may download it for free here:

CIS326: 2010/11 Assignment 1 Postmortem

I felt that for a take home assignment, the quality should have been much better. Unfortunately, that is generally not the case.

Q1.
+ Most students are able to list key points such as:
- The weakness of the system generated password (same as username, dictionary word, too short, etc)
- The fact that the system should have placed the onus of password creation on the user, rather than to try to create a password for them
- The lack of system mandated password change upon account recovery
